Where to Buy Wagyu Cubes in Cavite: Frozen Packs and Grilled Skewers
If you have gone looking for wagyu cubes in Cavite, you have probably found the same two things everyone else does: Metro Manila shops that will deliver to you for a ₱3,000 minimum, and restaurants that will sell you one portion at a restaurant price. We are in Silang, and we do it both ways from here.
What "wagyu cubes" actually means
Cube-cut wagyu is sold in the Philippines under a few names. Saikoro is the most common: *saikoro* is Japanese for "dice", so it describes the cut, not the grade. You will also see "wagyu cubes", "beef cubes" and "cube steak" used for the same thing. Because the word describes a shape rather than a standard, the brand on the pack matters more than the label does. That is why we print the producer, the weight and the piece count on everything we sell.
We carry two Japanese producers:
- NK Foods Beef Cubes, our best seller, in 1kg (80–95 cubes) and 500g (40–45 cubes) packs. Deeper marbling, and the pack most people reorder.
- Foodlabo Saikoro Steak, in 1kg (70–75 cubes) and 500g (30–35 cubes) packs.
Both are made in Japan and both sear in about a minute. See the current prices on the Saikoro Wagyu page.
Option one: frozen, delivered cold across Cavite
This is the one most people want. Order online, we portion and vacuum-seal, and it goes out cold by Lalamove or Grab from Silang. We reach Silang, Tagaytay, Amadeo, Indang, Alfonso, Dasmariñas, Imus, Bacoor, General Trias, Trece Martires, Carmona, Tanza, Kawit and the rest of the province, usually on a short enough trip that the cubes are still frozen solid when they reach you.
Two things that make this different from ordering out of Manila:
1. No minimum order. Most wagyu sellers want ₱3,000 to ₱4,000 before they will dispatch. We do not. A single 500g pack is a normal order. 2. The trip is shorter. We are already in Cavite, so your cubes spend less time in a courier bag than they would coming down the expressway.
Add an insulated bag for the longer routes and they arrive frozen rather than merely cold.
Option two: grilled for you, at the cart
If you do not want to cook, The Wagyu Club is our cart, and it is the other half of this business. Same cubes, skewered four to a stick, grilled to order and finished with our homemade wagyu sauce. You can have them on their own, or over steamed Japanese rice as a bowl.
It is the cheapest way to find out whether you actually like wagyu cubes before committing to a kilo of them. The cart is based in Silang, Cavite, and it also travels: we set up as a live wagyu station at birthdays, weddings and corporate events across Cavite and CALABARZON, grilling in front of guests instead of leaving a tray to go cold.
How to cook them once you have them
Cube-cut wagyu is genuinely hard to get wrong, as long as you respect two rules.
Thaw them properly. Overnight in the fridge, in the sealed pack. Never on the counter, and never in warm water. If you are in a hurry, submerge the sealed pack in cold water for about an hour.
Cook them fast. Pat the cubes dry, get a heavy pan properly hot, and give them roughly 30 to 45 seconds a side. They are small, they are fatty, and they will render out and go tough if you treat them like a steak that needs four minutes. Salt after, not before. Rest for a minute, and that is the whole method.
No oil is needed for the fattier packs: the cubes release enough of their own. A splash of our special wagyu sauce at the end is how the cart serves them.
So, where should you buy?
If you want to cook: order the frozen packs and we will deliver them cold, anywhere in Cavite, with no minimum. If you want to eat right now, or you are feeding a crowd at an event: come to the cart, or book it.
