How Much Steak Per Person: Pack Sizes for a Filipino Table

How much steak per person comes down to one working number: 250 to 300 g of raw steak for an adult main course, and 150 to 200 g for a child or a lighter eater. On our packs that means 1 kg feeds three to four adults, and a 500 g pack is dinner for two. Rich grades like wagyu cubes go further per gram, so plan the lower end for those. Prices verified August 2026.

How much steak per person for a proper dinner?

Steak per person lands at 250 to 300 g of raw beef for an adult eating it as the main course, and 150 to 200 g for a child or a smaller appetite. Bone-in cuts need roughly 100 g more per head, because part of that weight is bone you will not eat.

Two things move the number. Rice and sides pull it down: a Filipino table with rice, a vegetable and maybe pancit does not need 300 g of beef a head, and 200 g eats generously. Richness pulls it down too. Butter-aged Angus is beefy and easy to keep eating, while tallow-marbled and wagyu-style cuts fill you up faster.

How many people does 1 kg of steak feed?

One kilo of steak feeds three to four adults as a main course, or five to six when rice and sides carry half the plate. Pack format matters as much as weight, because the number of slices decides how the meat goes round the table.

  • Classic Gold Ribeye, ₱1,599: 1 kg, 4 cuts at half an inch each. One slice each for four, or a generous plate for two. The Gold Ribeye pack is the easiest one to divide.
  • Foodlabo Saikoro Steak 1kg, ₱1,299: 1 kg, 70 to 75 cubes. Four to five people, since the cubes eat rich.
  • NK Foods Beef Cubes 1kg, ₱1,499: 1 kg, 85 to 95 cubes. Same headcount, more pieces to pass around.
  • Foodlabo Saikoro Steak 500g, ₱669: 500 g, 30 to 35 cubes. Dinner for two.
  • NK Foods Beef Saikoro 500g, ₱769: 500 g, 40 to 45 cubes. Dinner for two, with a few cubes spare.

If you are choosing between the butter-aged cuts by appetite rather than by weight, which Classic Butter-Aged cut to get compares them side by side.

How much wagyu per person?

Wagyu per person runs smaller than Angus: 150 to 200 g of Saikoro cubes is enough for one adult, because the marbling is far richer and the fat does the filling. A 500 g pack covers two people comfortably, and a 1 kg pack covers four to five with rice.

Serve much more than that and people tend to slow down halfway. That is the honest trade-off with cube-cut Saikoro Wagyu: it costs more per kilo than our butter-aged Angus, but you serve less of it per head, so the gap across a full table is smaller than the price tags suggest.

How much steak do I need for a handaan?

For a handaan, count 200 g of steak per adult guest instead of 300, because rice, ulam and pancit will carry the rest of the plate. Ten adults come to about 2 kg, which is two 1 kg packs. Make it three packs if steak is the only main, or if your guests are big eaters.

For Noche Buena and Christmas handaan specifically, where steak sits alongside ham and lechon, drop that further to 150 to 200 g a head. Steak for Noche Buena has the portioning and the December ordering deadline.

We deliver this cold to General Trias, Trece Martires, Tanza and Dasmariñas, with no minimum order, so steak delivery in General Trias can be one pack or five.
